Customer Response

Great for ingrown hair
I agree with the previous reviewer... these tweezers are great to lift ingrown facial hair buried in the skin, because of their "needle-like" tips. I also follow up with a flat tweezer to remove the hair completely.
When I tried to use this pair, the hair either broke, or I could not get a good grip.
That's not a problem, and does not affect my rating for them... because they do their job.

My only regret is that I did not buy them years ago. I would probably have less scarring from digging out ingrown hairs with other needles/tweezers.

Great buy

Great Precision
After several rounds of painfully mashing away at my face with Drug store tweezers and a sewing needle trying to get out tiny ingrown beard hairs, I got a pair of these. Each ingrown hair I've attacked with these tweezers is out in under 30 seconds- it's sooo much easier to isolate the right hair now- and I'm not ripping out the surrounding hairs by mistake anymore.

Tweezerman has better options
Bought these for my first aid kit for splinters, etc... They're better than all other brands, but not the best over all.

Fortunately, unlike the 1 and 2 star reviewers, I'm not cursed with scab-covered ingrown hairs all over my body. But I do get occasional random slivers of random crap under my fingernails, in my finger tips, etc... And when I do, I like to use the Tweezerman Petite Tweezer Set instead:

The fine tweezers in the petite set are sharper than these yellow suckers. They are also more compact and come in a protective case that will keep the tips from getting bent. Two features that are very beneficial for both backpacking and camping first aid kits. The set is a little more pricey, but well worth it if these are going in your first aid kit.

Nice idea
I was let down by this product. The idea was nice but the execution did not come through for me. The makers claim that the ends are sharp but they are squared off. The ends appose reasonably well but are bowed slightly so in order to grasp a hair you need to squeeze fairly hard, that is when the ends slip past one another. I am used to using a stainless steel surgical grade forcep and these are nowhere near that level. Dissappointed that I spent this money.

no more ingrown hairs
To be totally honest, I decided on a more preventative approach than cure. I used a facial scrubber to (one of those facial washes with the grains) to lift the hairs after shaving. I did this twice a day. In order to prevent dryness, I had to use a moisturizer. Once I started to get rid of the in grown hairs, I started using the scrubber just once a day and continued to moisturize. When I just started however, this tweezer worked wonders in lifting those difficult hairs.
