No better than the $3.95 at the supermarket.
I was so excited when I read reviews. Bought them. Glad to pay more to get improved quality. Two months later I am so disappointed. They worked perfectly well for only a short time.

Some things in life are worth spending extra
I've owned many tweezers in my life time, always picking up the generic standard tweezers from the grocery store and always being frustrated by the lack of quality. Finally, after years of tweezer frustration (as silly as that sounds), I decided to spend the extra $10 to get a pair of Tweezerman tweezers after reading others reviews. Just got to say that spending the extra money is well worth it for the quality and frustration free tweezing. Don't have to worry anymore that I can't get the smallest of hairs because these tweezers pick up everything. Thank you Tweezerman, and thank you Amazon for offering the best price around.

Way too sharp - but better grip - use, but use with caution
Initially, I was very happy with my new Tweezerman tweezers - I thought they were maybe not better than my old gold-tipped tweezers but certainly not worse, and I liked the color and design.

The first time I ended up with some bleeding on my face, I thought maybe it was just a bug bite or pimple I'd hit with them. And then it happened again, and again. Maybe my skin's just too thin for them, but I wouldn't recommend them for regular facial use to anyone who's not fairly thick-skinned. Better the untweezed hair than an ugly red mark and scab.

On the other hand, when I went back to my old tweezers, I found these Tweezerman tweezers do grip very short or fine hairs better, so I still use them (carefully) occasionally. And the Tweezerman tweezers are my first choice for removing a splinter. I just have to remember to be gentle both in touching my skin and in the pressure I exert on the hair or splinter (so that the tweezers grip it rather than cutting it off).
